2012 Reliable Public Power Provider (RP3) Diamond Designee
NES is one of only six utilities in the nation recognized by the American Public Power Association (APPA) for providing customers with the highest degree of reliable and safe electric service.

2011 PRSA Parthenon Award Winner
The NES annual report received top honors from the Public Relations Society of America, Nashville Chapter.  NES also received an award of merit for its Go Green On the Silver Screen Video Contest promotion. 

2010 PRSA Award of Merit Winner
Both the NES E-bill campaign and annual report received an award of merit from the Public Relations Society of America, Nashville Chapter.

2010 American Public Power Association RP3 Diamond Designation
NES receives the APPA Reliable Public Power Provider's highest designation for demonstrating proficiency in reliability, safety, workforce development and system improvement.

2009 ACE Award Winner

The NES Website receives an ACE Award for Creative Marketing from Apogee Interactive.

2009 IABC Award Winner

The NES annual report receives a Gold Award and the Tennessee Residence Book receives a Bronze Award from the International Association of Business Communicators.

The NES annual report, Power Notes customer newsletter, and Edison's energy book for kids receive top honors from the Public Relations Society of America, Nashville Chapter.

2008 American Public Power Association Lineworkers' Rodeo Top Finisher

NES' West team ranks third nationally among other utilities.  It is the highest ranking NES has ever received in eight years of competition in the APPA rodeo.

Nashville Electric Service is awarded for its participation in a minority opportunities program by hiring minority first year law students for summer internships.
