NES Management Receives National Recognition

Several Nashville Electric Service (NES) employees are being acknowledged in the national spotlight for the exceptional work they have shown in the utility industry.  

 

NES President Appointed to Public Power Board

Decosta Jenkins, NES President & CEO, has been chosen to serve on the board of the American Public Power Association (APPA).  Board members are chosen to represent 10 regions across the country and serve three-year terms.  The board advocates policies that put customers first and ensure a stable supply of electricity while protecting the environment.

 

Based in Washington, D.C., APPA is the national service organization for more than 2,000 public power electric utilities across the country serving 46 million customers.

 

Allen Receives Top Utility Award

Paul Allen, VP Engineering, received the Harold Kramer-John Preston Personal Service Award from the American Public Power Association.  This award is given to public power leaders who have made substantial contributions toward attaining APPA goals and enhancing the organization’s national prestige.

 

Hatridge a Top 12 Utility Champion

Vic Hatridge, VP & Chief Information Officer, has been recognized by Intelligent Utility magazine as one of the top 12 utility champions in the country.  Under his direction, the NES Information Technology team is responsible for some of the most progressive work done by any municipal utility. 

 

Hatridge has served as NES CIO for 15 years.  He is extremely active in the utility community with the American Public Power Association Information Technology committee and the Nashville CIO Council.
