Apply for Service
To apply for service with NES, call Customer Relations at 615-736-6900 or visit our main office at 1214 Church Street. You'll need two forms of identification, such as a driver's license, social security card, passport or birth certificate.
Customers should come into our main office from Church Street, park in the Visitor's Parking lot located in front of and on the right side of the building, and enter the middle door labeled the Customer Lobby.

There is a connection fee for all new accounts.

Deposit Fee
New customers will need to pay a $180 deposit before service can be connected. In some cases, that fee can be waived:
- Letter of Credit
A satisfactory letter of credit for the last 12 months of service from any
gas or electric utility (no more than 2 disconnect notices,
no more than one returned check, and no disconnects
for non-payment).
- Credit Check
An instant credit check with a credit bureau at no expense to the customer.
